In the Gospels, Jesus invites us to “come away” with Him when we get weary (Matt 11:28, Mark 6:31). Are you wanting to take time out to pray and seek the Lord, but find it hard to withdraw from work and family commitments? Perhaps you are new to retreats, and would appreciate guidance on how to retreat and rest in God? Then this guided group retreat over a Saturday and Sunday is designed for you!
The Come Away Retreat is a 2-days/1-night guided group retreat for busy Christians looking for a weekend away to pray, reflect and seek God. This guided programme will also suit those who are new to the idea of retreats and spending time in solitude with God.
This guided group retreat over a weekend is designed to provide various ideas for prayer, as well as a reflective space for busy Christians. Starting with arrival at 10am on a Saturday morning till 3:30pm on a Sunday afternoon, there will be 6 sessions of guided reflections, prayer exercises and group spiritual direction, including a creative art session. Participants will have opportunities to spend alone-time with God, as well as be in a safe space of group listening and sharing.

Session: 3: Group Spiritual Direction
Sunday
Session 4: The Practice of Paying Attention
Session 5: Creative Art Retreat

3:30pm: Departure
We have an accommodation wing of single rooms and 1 or 2 twin rooms for couples. Although our rooms are not ensuite, all rooms have wash basins. Baths and showers are located near each room. Towels and bed linen are provided. All meals are served in the college's cafeteria. Special diets can be catered for but please give notice when booking.
£125 (includes accommodation for 1 night, 4 meals, and the cost of the retreat sessions)
Please note that this payment is non-refundable, except for extenuating circumstances and to the College’s discretion. Should you be unable to make this retreat, we are unable to offer you a refund, but may offer you a deferment to a different retreat or date.
