Postgraduate admissions procedure

Undergraduate

We are delighted that you are considering being part of the All Nations community. Application normally takes around six to eight weeks from application to acceptance. This of course is only an estimate and each individual application may vary.

It is recommended that you leave as much time as possible between your application and the date when you hope to start at All Nations to ensure there will be no unnecessary delays in gaining admission.

Overseas applications may take slightly longer. For applicants requiring a visa, you must allow sufficient time to enable you to complete the visa application in time to start your programme.

What’s the next step?

If you would like to visit us before applying, this can be arranged. We strongly recommend applicants to come to one of our Open Days (on campus and via video technology). If this is not possible, individual visits can be organised depending on staff availability.

If you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact our admissions team; they will be delighted to help you.

Interview

Once we are satisfied that we have all the information we require, we will arrange an interview. This can be done in person at the college where you will also have an opportunity to meet current students (in term time) and have a tour around college. Alternatively we can arrange an interview via Zoom, Skype or by telephone. Interviews usually last an hour.

Registration

On receipt of a course offer from us, your acceptance email or letter together with the course deposit will secure your place, subject to you meeting any offer conditions.

What happens next?

When you have met any conditions and received our confirmation of a place letter, you will have secured your place, we will not expect to contact you again until about six weeks before the start of your course. This will be to give you the weblink to access all the information you will need to know before coming to College.

What do I do if I wish to complain?

All Nations wants all of our applicants to have a positive experience in going through our application process. We make every endeavour to provide you with the information you require and support you to make an informed choice in regards to the best course for you. However, if you are dissatisfied with the handling of your application, you have the right to make either an informal and/or formal complaint. For further details see the College Complaints Policy. If you feel you have grounds for appealing against the decision to refuse you a place or feel the conditions imposed are unfair, you may request a formal review/appeal. For further details please see the College Academic Appeals Policy.

More Information about Postgraduate Applications

Once we have all the information we require we will arrange an informal conversation with a member of the admissions panel about your study plans and how the course fits with this. This can be done via zoom at a mutually agreed time.

This is the next stage after your informal conversation and documents have been accepted. It is a 1500 word critique of a book or chapter of a book. We will provide you with guidelines on how to do this and the text to critique. The due date is negotiated with you, taking your current commitments in mind - usually six weeks from when we send you the question.

On receipt of a course offer and criminal check form from us, your acceptance email together with the course deposit will secure your place, subject to you meeting any offer conditions.

We will send you a confirmation of a place letter and contact you with new information related to your mode of study and course as it is released throughout the year.
