This strategic alliance is the outcome of much prayer, many meetings and hard work on both sides. As we discerned the best way forwards, we agreed that we can better serve God's mission and the global mission movement together rather than as separate institutions.
Both colleges boast a history of over 120 years' service to churches, mission organisations and individuals who seek excellence in training for ministry to serve God's kingdom. It is now the right time to join these histories and to enhance the rich depths of teaching at Bachelors and Masters levels. Alongside the BA and MA programmes, there will be further opportunities for consultancy, research and development, easy- access short courses and continuing professional development for alumni, mission agencies and the church worldwide.
All Nations Christian College Academic Vice-Principal Rev Dr VJ Samkutty says: 'I’m particularly excited about a new Masters course in Staff Wellbeing and Member Care which together we’re now planning to launch in September 2021.' This new MA is just one example of the exciting plans made possible by this union. As Dr Tim Davy (Vice-Principal of Redcliffe College) said, 'I'm thrilled at the opportunities and possibilities that will come from joining together these two global families of All Nations and Redcliffe.' Further offers of validated and non-validated courses reflect the diversity and intentionality to better train women and men for God's mission with humility and wisdom in a multiplicity of contexts.
Redcliffe's Principal, Dr Rosalee Velloso Ewell, expressed her excitement about the future: 'For Redcliffe to be part of All Nations is for me a wonderful step forwards. Students, alumni, external agencies and churches will all be better served by this joined up effort because together we bring such a diversity of gifts and the chance to serve the mission world in innovative and transformative new ways.'
We are extremely grateful for all those who have prayed and supported us during this time of discernment and we thank you for your continued prayers and support.
We look forward to a shared story that brings glory to God and we trust that God will bless us as together we seek to serve God's reign and the mission of the church around the world.
