Accommodation in the Area

The College has limited family accommodation on our site. However we are able to assist families find accommodation locally. Students are free to rent properties on the open market and are not obliged to rent from College.  The rental of property on the open market is usually more expensive, and will be for a minimum period of six months, but may be for a maximum of 12 months.

There are also some local properties let by former students and in these cases the College will put you in touch with the owners for you to discuss your requirements and if suitable make an agreement.

Accommodation on site

The College properties range from two and three bedrooms. Sometimes we are also able to reformulate couples accommodation for families. This would mean children sharing a room next door to their parents. The exact number of properties available for new families will vary from term to term, depending on the number of existing families staying on for a further year at College. There is no guarantee that every family will be allocated a property on-site.

Housing Priority

Given the high demand for onsite accommodation, the College prioritises housing applications by taking various factors into consideration. Click here for further housing and accommodation information.

Application Deadlines

The application deadlines are 1st May for courses starting in term 1, 31st October for courses starting in term 2 and 15th March for courses starting in term 3. Anyone applying after the allocation date will be dealt with on a first come first served basis.

These deadlines also apply to students wishing to apply to extend their studies for a further period.  Please note that, under such circumstances, the College cannot guarantee to continue to house students in their previous accommodation or even at all if none is available.

Arrival Date

We allow families with school-age children only to arrive slightly before the start of term but not before the fourth week of August for those starting in September.  Since the College is a conference centre during the holidays, we reserve the right to house families in temporary accommodation, should they choose to arrive early to settle their children into school. Please note that different costs will apply to different types of accommodation during this interim period.

Housing Confirmation

College will aim to allocate family accommodation for September by the end of Week 2 of Term 3.  Thereafter, families who apply will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis depending on availability. En Route families applying for Terms 2 and 3 and all those who are granted a place on a course/programme after Monday, Week 1 of Term 3 will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis based on availability.

Tenancy agreements

Tenancy agreements will be issued as soon as the family move into their final property allocation and will be for 11 months unless the tenants are on a short course. Housing is reallocated at the end of their agreement should they be staying on for a further period of study.
